Duplex Building Design, documents all aspects of the development from concept through to DA, CC and Tender with comprehensive drawings. We liaise with the many consultants involved and look after everything – right up to the builder collecting the approved drawings from Council. We design to ensure that your building is comfortable, well laid out, energy efficient and matching your design brief. This includes ensuring we have met your needs, budget, site conditions, and resale and maintenance expectations.

Each project differs in complexity and size and the level of work involved varies a great deal. We therefore quote each project individually once we have discussed the brief with you and fully researched the parameters governing the various approvals. Generally our fees are highly competitive and great value for money. Our fees are fixed at the onset of a project, so our clients are fully aware of all costs to project completion. Honesty and transparency are at the heart of our services and we are governed by a strict code of ethics as determined by our various professional memberships. To activate our services a deposit is required and thereafter payments are only made on completion of our documentation for the various work stages to our client’s satisfaction.

We have 12 years’ experience coordinating clients’ Development Applications, pre-lodgement advice meetings and design review panel discussion meetings.

Yes of course. We can look after the whole process for you and at the end just give you one package with all the relevant documentation that you will require to start construction. This is very normal from our end, and we like to complete all of the works for you, as we know that nothing will be left out that may slow down construction at a later stage.

Yes. We will email you any format that you like. We can send PDF, CAD drawings, whatever you like. No problem.

No problem. If you would like to use our team for only one of the stages, then that is OK. We have completed concept designs before and a simple draftsman has completed the working drawings. Likewise, we have completed working drawings for clients that have used someone else to complete their concept designs. We are simple. Either way for us, it is no problem.

Of course. We offer the consultants that we have worked with for years for you to use, but if you have your own team of consultants, or have a friend or relative that you wish to use, then that is no problem. Just forward to us their details and we will work with them directly.

Once you are satisfied with the design and give us the green light to finalise, we can have the plans ready for council submission within 3-5 days.
