Based on the beautiful coast of Wollongong, Duplex Building Design provides residential clients a flexible and professional approach to building design and drafting. We work with Autodesk Revit which is the industry leading software for 3D design and drafting to produce plans and 3D renders for you to review and submit to relevant approval authorities.
Our director Nathan Battishall is a qualified building designer with over 18 years of design and drafting experience. Nathan also has another building designer and two architectural drafters on the team.
We specialise in all residential design and drafting from new homes, duplexes, Dual occupancies, townhouses, granny flats, extensions, decks and carports.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Site Consultation
The Duplex Building Design team offers a free site consultation to gain a full understanding of your current home/tenancy and the requirements you have, allowing us to provide you with a customised quote to suit your specific needs.
2.
Concept Drawings
Enjoy the design journey, in this stage we explore all possibilities for your property, we research and implement all the correct and current codes, property searches and any relevant town planning requirements. Your designer will work with you on a brief for your dream outcome.
3.
Design Development
Still in the creative headspace, we will review the concepts plans together walking you through each space discussing our thoughts and design choices. This stage is specifically developed to allow for changes, updates and we also welcome any new ideas or thoughts during this process.
4.
Construction Plans
The nuts and bolts of the construction for the project. This stage commences once all design elements have been completed and the project is ready to be documented for the use of builders, structural engineers and council certifiers for development application and construction certificate. This process is very involved and all the finer details are documented and detailed.
LOCAL COUNCILS WE WORK WITH
We have years of experience dealing with planning bodies on the South Coast and can assist you with Development Application lodgements and tracking with councils including Wollongong City, Eurobodalla Shire, Shellharbour City, Wingecarribee Shire, Kiama and Shoalhaven.
